Terms of service

Veristream verifies the performance of clips you submit to an advertising campaign, checks them against the advertising rules that campaign is subject to, and calculates payment amounts from verified metrics. It is a measurement and compliance tool. It does not publish, promote or distribute your content.

• You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, including the payout address, and for keeping your sign-in credentials to yourself.
• You may only connect platform accounts you control, and only accounts you are permitted to connect under that platform’s own terms.
• One person, one account. Do not create multiple accounts to submit the same clip more than once.

You keep ownership of your content. Submitting a clip grants Veristream permission to read its metrics from the platform, to store the clip or a copy of it, and to analyse it for compliance — for those purposes only, and for as long as the records described in the privacy policy are kept.

You confirm that a clip you submit is yours to submit, does not infringe anyone else’s rights, and complies with the platform’s rules and with the advertising rules of the campaign.

• Payment is calculated from metrics read from a platform API — verified numbers. Numbers entered by hand are labelled self-reported and are never used to calculate a payment.
• Campaign budgets are capped. A payout run cannot exceed the campaign’s budget, which means a submission may earn less than its view count implies once a budget is exhausted.
• Submissions showing engagement patterns inconsistent with the account’s own history are held out of payout runs pending review. A hold is not an accusation; it is a pause.
• Payment terms, rates and budgets are set by the campaign, not by Veristream, which measures and calculates rather than pays.

• You take part as a self-employed creator, not an employee, worker or agent. You are responsible for your own tax and National Insurance, including registering for Self Assessment where your income requires it. Nothing is deducted at source.
• Payments are made monthly to the bank account you verify through our payment provider, Stripe, which also verifies your identity. You must be 18 or over to receive payment.
• Statements are self-billed: Veristream produces the invoice for each monthly payment on your behalf under your self-billing agreement, and you agree not to issue your own invoice for the same payment. Tell us if you become VAT-registered.
• UK platform-reporting rules require Veristream to collect your name, date of birth, address and tax reference, and to report yearly payment totals to HMRC. You receive a copy of what is reported.

• Inflate metrics by any artificial means — purchased views, engagement pods, bots, or automated playback.
• Submit a clip that is not yours, submit the same clip under multiple accounts, or misrepresent which account published it.
• Interfere with the service: probing, scraping at scale, bypassing access controls, or attempting to reach records that are not yours.

Accounts that do these things can be suspended or closed, and affected submissions excluded from payment.

The service is provided as is. Metric readings depend on the platform APIs, which change, rate-limit and occasionally return figures that differ from what a platform shows in its own dashboard; where they disagree, the reading recorded at the time stands as the record of what the API returned. Nothing here is a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, and liability is limited to the amount properly payable to you for verified submissions.

You can disconnect any platform account, or ask for your account to be closed, at any time — see deleting your data. Closure does not cancel a payment already earned on verified submissions, and does not erase compliance and payment records, for the reasons given in the privacy policy.

Material changes are published here with a new date. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
